The Engineering and Informatic Systems Division
The Engineering and Informatic Systems Division (E&ISD) executes both the research and development and the technical assistance program in the engineering and informatics systems area of ITL. In this capacity, EISD performs research related to risk analysis, engineering reliability, and computer science techniques to enhance computational capabilities for solutions to scientific and engineering problems. E&ISD is the Corps' premier organization for the development and application of sensors, of sensor-integrating software, of electronics, and of feedback-control systems as applied to civil and environmental engineering.
